Lifebox

saving lives through safer surgery

Did you know that 31 million operations take place each year without life-saving pulse oximeters?  There are tens of thousands of operating rooms that don't have access to a pulse oximeter and other basic medical supplies.  LifeBox, a non-profit organization, strives to deliver pulse oximeters and medical supplies to areas in need all across the world!

Lifebox is a foundation founded by the world's leading professional and public health organizations, including Brigham and Women's Hospital, Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland, Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, and World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists.  The vision of Lifebox is not just to provide much needed medical supplies, but also to educate, train, and provide peer support.  Lifebox is also working for sustainable changes of practice that will ultimately raise the safety and quality standards of global healthcare.
